Clay County CEO young professionals joined students from other CEO programs throughout the Illinois Eastern Community Colleges (IECC) district for a day-long IECC CEO Summit!
Throughout the day, students learned about the key components of developing a business plan, understanding financials, and delivering an effective business pitch.
Then it was time to put that knowledge to work! Students broke into mixed groups with young professionals from other CEO programs to develop a mock business pitch, which they presented to a group of bankers at the end of the day.
What a great opportunity to collaborate with new faces, think creatively, strengthen communication skills, and gain experience presenting ideas to business professionals!
Experiences like this are what CEO is all about. We learn by doing, stepping outside our comfort zone, and building connections along the way.
