This week, we welcomed Mr. Travis Wyatt, a current Clay County CEO board member, to class to meet our new group of young professionals and share a few pointers for success β€” not just in CEO, but in life.

Travis gave our students plenty to think about, but a few pieces of advice especially stood out:

πŸ’‘ Make yourself 1% better every day.

πŸ’‘ Every day you put your feet on the floor, you choose your attitude. It can be a good day or a bad day, but that choice is yours.

πŸ’‘ Some of you are leaders and some of you are followers. It’s okay to be a follower; just be a good one.

πŸ’‘ You become like the five people you spend the most time with. Choose wisely.

Simple advice. BIG life lessons.

These are exactly the kinds of conversations that make CEO about so much more than business. We’re developing habits, attitudes, relationships, and skills that our students can carry with them long after this year ends.

Thank you, Travis, for your continued time, encouragement, and dedication to Clay County CEO. We appreciate your investment in our students and our program!
