The class recently had the opportunity to visit the Hella Forvia plant in Flora for a behind-the-scenes look at one of our local manufacturing leaders.
We began the morning with a presentation from Plant Manager Anthony Browning, who shared the company’s vision, daily operations, and the scope of what happens inside the facility. The group also heard from members of the HR and accounting departments, gaining insight into the wide range of roles that support the business. The visit concluded with a guided plant tour, where students were able to see the operation in action.
Some takeaways from the day include:
🔹 “There are far more career opportunities inside a factory than ever imagined. You don’t just work on the floor — there are roles in management, HR, accounting, and more.”
🔹 “Make connections with different people. It may not seem important now, but it matters in the future.”
Experiences like this broaden perspectives, challenge assumptions, and help students see the opportunities that exist right here in our own community.
Thank you to Anthony Browning and the Forvia Hella team for investing your time in Clay County CEO!
