Our CEO class recently visited Eckelberry Barber Co, where we had the opportunity to talk with Nick Eckelberry and learn about his experience as a barber.

Nick told us he started cutting hair at just 16 years old. He explained that barber school usually takes about 9–10 months to finish, and he received his license in July of 2021. It was cool to hear how starting young helped him build his career.

One thing that really stood out to the class was when Nick said that “every client is a walking advertisement.” This made us realize how important it is to do quality work and treat people well. He also reminded us that everyone starts low, but with time and effort you can grow. Today, he has around 600 clients.

Thank you, Nick, for taking the time to speak with us and share advice that will help us in our own future businesses!
