Our CEO class visited the Clay County Health Department, where Isaiah Fatheree gave us an in-depth presentation on Cottage Food Licenses. He walked us through food operation types in Illinois, prohibited foods, labeling requirements, licensing procedures, and where cottage food products can be legally sold.

The team now has the proper awareness that running a food business involves strict rules about temperatures, allergens, safe food handling, and proper labeling - all designed to keep consumers safe.

In the event that these young entrepreneurs are planning food-related personal businesses and now have both the knowledge and the connection they need to get started properly!

Thank you, Isaiah Fatheree and the Clay County Health Department , for equipping our young entrepreneurs with essential food safety knowledge!
