The Clay County CEO class recently visited Fat Dad's Ice Cream Shop in Louisville, where we had the chance to meet with co-owners, Clint Holkenbrink and Rachel Holkenbrink. It was especially inspiring to hear from Rachel, a former CEO student who has gone on to continue a successful career path of her own!

Clint shared valuable advice that stuck with us, “Take failure as a learning moment and own it, because it’s all in how you react.” Their insight helped us think deeper about how to make both our class business and our individual ventures more profitable and effective.

We also learned about the value of working with a partner, seeing firsthand how the siblings’ teamwork and creativity make Fat Dad’s such a local favorite. Beyond the business lessons, we discovered a few new favorite ice cream flavors, too!
